Summary:
The Waiter is responsible for providing excellent customer service to guests by taking orders, delivering food and beverages, and ensuring that guests have a pleasant dining experience. They work with a variety of guests from different backgrounds and cultures, and must be able to adapt their service style to meet the needs of each guest. The Waiter must also be able to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Take orders from guests and recommend menu items
- Deliver food and beverages to guests in a timely manner
- Answer questions about the menu and the restaurant
- Check on guests to make sure they are enjoying their meal
- Clear tables and reset them for the next guests
- Handle guest complaints and concerns
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow all safety and sanitation procedures
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years of experience in the food service industry
- Strong customer service skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with a point-of-sale system is a plus
