Summary:

The Telecom Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing telecommunications systems and equipment. They work with a variety of telecommunications technologies, including voice, data, and video. The Telecom Technician must have a strong understanding of telecommunications principles and procedures, as well as excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair telecommunications systems and equipment
• Troubleshoot and resolve telecommunications problems
• Test and certify telecommunications systems and equipment
• Document telecommunications work activities
• Work with customers to understand their telecommunications needs
• Optimize telecommunications systems and equipment performance
• Stay up-to-date on the latest telecommunications technologies

Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree in telecommunications technology or a related field
• 2+ years of experience in telecommunications
• Strong understanding of telecommunications principles and procedures
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience with a telecommunications software is a plus
