Procurement – Senior Purchaser

Indusland Logistics is seeking a seasoned and dynamic Senior Purchaser to join our procurement team. As a Senior Purchaser, you will be responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and negotiating with suppliers to acquire the best quality products at competitive prices. This role requires a highly motivated individual with exceptional negotiation skills and strong business acumen.

Responsibilities:

– Develop and implement sourcing strategies to ensure the timely and cost-effective procurement of goods and services

– Identify potential suppliers, build relationships, and negotiate favorable terms and prices for products and services

– Monitor market trends and changes in the industry to identify potential cost-saving opportunities

– Prepare and manage contracts with suppliers and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures

– Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and requirements, and provide solutions to meet their procurement needs

– Manage and evaluate supplier performance to ensure quality and timely delivery of goods and services

– Conduct supplier audits and develop action plans to address any issues or concerns

– Continuously optimize procurement processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs

– Lead a team of junior purchasers, providing guidance, training, and support as needed

Requirements:

– Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field

– Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, preferably in the logistics or transportation industry

– Strong negotiation and analytical skills

– Proven track record of cost savings and supplier management

– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

– Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet tight deadlines

– Proficiency in Microsoft Office and procurement software

– Knowledge of transportation regulations and customs processes is a plus

– Leadership experience is preferred
