Summary:
The Telecom Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing telecommunications systems and equipment. They work with a variety of telecommunications technologies, including voice, data, and video. The Telecom Technician must have a strong understanding of telecommunications principles and procedures, as well as excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair telecommunications systems and equipment
- Troubleshoot and resolve telecommunications problems
- Test and certify telecommunications systems and equipment
- Document telecommunications work activities
- Work with customers to understand their telecommunications needs
- Optimize telecommunications systems and equipment performance
- Stay up-to-date on the latest telecommunications technologies
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in telecommunications technology or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in telecommunications
- Strong understanding of telecommunications principles and procedures
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with a telecommunications software is a plus
