Summary:
The Network Connection Technician is responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining the company’s network connections. This includes installing and configuring routers, switches, and other network equipment; troubleshooting network problems; and maintaining network documentation. The Network Connection Technician must have a strong understanding of networking principles and be able to work independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
- Install and configure routers, switches, and other network equipment
- Troubleshoot network problems
- Maintain network documentation
- Update network firmware and software
- Work with other IT staff to implement new network technologies
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in computer networking or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in network administration or a related field
- Strong understanding of networking principles
- Excellent troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with a variety of network hardware and software
